Power Converters, UV and Laser applications


Started my career funding an engineering Start up, and builtĀ a business in an industry that had not yet taken advantage of new power converters and applied to consumer products.

Created a new high frequency converter that was capable of powering an array of 32 lamps or 10 high power lamps on a single device. The key advantages were, higher power efficiency, active power factor correction, lower operating temperature, controllable power control with soft start and user controllable setting. Company also provided engineering services to larger machines that required power conversion, such as a large gantry Laser CO2 of several kW of cutting power.
